The brake lever has now been redesigned to make it easier to reach in low grip, while still maintaining Campagnolo style and design. The position of the brake lever can also be adjusted so that it is perfectly within reach and suits cyclists’ needs, adapting to any kind of handlebar and any hand size. The absence of wires and cables makes it easy to install and the battery has an incredibly long life thanks to the very sophisticated firmware that manages all this component’s electronics. The new Super Record Wireless controls can be used for up to 2 years without replacing the battery. They can also be turned off, with a switch that is hidden but easy to reach inside the body of the controls. The LED inside the body of the controls acts as a visual alarm to indicate that the battery needs charging and the charge level can be checked using the MyCampy3.0 app. The shifting buttons are positioned on the brake lever to guarantee easy access for all cyclists, when pedaling with either a high or low grip. The shifting buttons are the perfect balance between force used and tactile feedback, allowing cyclists to feel when a gear shifts. They can also be customized using the MyCampy 3.0 app, associating them with the front and rear derailleur according to personal preference.

The new body of the control reproduces the asymmetry of the human hand exactly. This new shape increases surface area in contact with the palm and allows for various riding positions, ensuring maximum safety for each one. The improved position of the gear levers makes down-shifting easier, during a breakaway or a sudden sprint.

The new shaping of the body of the controls and an adjustable reach make these controls perfect for any cyclist, regardless of hand or finger size. Thanks to the technologies it has developed, Campagnolo can guarantee 15 mm travel for the brake lever, ensuring that the greatest number of cyclists can reach the lever.

CALIPER:

Super Record brake calipers ensure powerful braking that can be regulated in any situation thanks to their 22-millimeter-diameter pistons. Pad return has now been optimized to ensure there is no friction when the brake lever is released. A special metal plate, positioned between the pad and the caliper piston, cushions the vibrations during braking. The different Campagnolo brake calipers were designed to be mounted together with the disc chosen by the cyclist and to always guarantee high-level performance: the brake caliper can be chosen with a disc measuring either 140 mm (only for cyclists weighing no more than 82 kg) or 160 mm in diameter. Special attention was paid to making maintenance and assembly simple: the pads have wear indicators and replacing them is made easier by the absence of physical return springs. Insertion of the disc into the caliper was also worked on to make changing the wheel easier and faster.
